

About the book and the series
Our story doesn’t end at the bakery doors. In hope of keeping many of your tradition alive, I (Rick) am writing The Sky River Bakery Cookbook Series is a four-part journey through the recipes, traditions, and love that defined our little bakery in Monroe.
We begin with Volume 1: Cookies & Bars—because that’s where the magic (and the Pink Cookies) started. Inside, you’ll find our most-loved recipes scaled down from bulk bakery batches to home-friendly versions. After plenty of trial and error, each one has been refined so you can bake them with confidence. Along the way, Rick’s Tips are sprinkled throughout to guide you and add that Sky River touch.
But that’s just the start. Future volumes will bring even more of the bakery to your kitchen:

What began as a small-town bakery has grown into something bigger: a way to share our love of scratch-made baking with people near and far. Through our cookbook series (and future projects), we’re keeping that spirit alive—so every kitchen can have a taste of what made Sky River Bakery special.
